Once again, a Dallmer product innovation has received an accolade for its excellent design: the CeraWall drainage system even received two coveted Red Dot awards: Product Design 2015.
Across countries and industries, the Red Dot Design Award is regarded as one of the most important competitions for product design. The international jury only awards the much-coveted quality label Red Dot to products that truly stand out from the crowd thanks to their exceptional design.
CeraWall is Dallmer's innovative wall drainage system for level-access showers. It combines the aesthetics of front-of-wall linear drainage with the reliability and functionality of proven drainage technology: highly elegant, reliable sealing, easy to clean. The modular system offers two design versions and the jury was impressed with the design quality and innovation of both.
CeraWall S is the combination of a drain body with a drain channel made of stainless steel, CeraWall P is combined with a virtually invisible drain profile. An integrated slope ensures the reliable flow of water towards a channel and concealed profile fitted where floor and wall meet. Both versions are distinguished by a purist, elegant design and the bathroom designer has the choice: CeraWall S, with its elegant metal, gives the shower area a visually striking finish, while the minimalist design of CeraWall P creates a fluid, virtually invisible, transition between floor and wall In both versions, CeraWall harmonises perfectly with tiles and natural stone and is a stylish enhancement of any personal furnishings and bathroom architecture. Even large-format tiles can be fitted up to the wall without the need for sloped side sections.
The whole design is further enhanced by the simple and reliable integration in the wall and floor waterproofing. The drain body is securely anchored in the floor construction, while the water-draining channel and profile are fitted entirely above the bonded waterproofing. Installation is clearly structured thanks to pre-finished partial assembly. Cleaning also couldn't be easier, thanks to the smooth surface free of grooves and brackets - a quick wipe and you're done.
The Red Dot Award is one of the most internationally recognised design competitions and the biggest product competition in the world. In 2015, it celebrated its 60th anniversary. With some 5,000 products submitted by 1994 by participants from 56 countries, the Red Dot Award had a record number of submissions for Product Design 2015. The 38-member jury includes outstanding designers, design professors and trade journalists from 25 nations, who assess all competition products diligently, objectively and professionally under adherence to a strict "code of honour".
These awards once again underscore Dallmer's outstanding product development with its outstanding innovative design and technical quality. Where level-access showers are concerned, both versions of CeraWall are quite simply "state of the art".
