On December 17, the design magazine H.O.M.E. presented the H.O.M.E. Haus 2022 for the first time, a virtually planned 3D house by Hadi Teherani, the internationally renowned architecture and design office. Dallmer is a Priority Partner and is contributing to the design of the bathrooms in H.O.M.E. Haus 2022 with three-dimensional plans of its innovative drainage systems.

The future builds on tradition

The team surrounding Hamburg architect Hadi Teherani – chief amongst them architects Sebastian Appl, Dr. Christian Bergmann, interior designer Nicola Sigl, and designers Elke Malek and Anja Sorger – has designed a sustainable architectural concept and interior visions for the H.O.M.E. Haus 2022. Hadi Teherani was inspired by his origins when designing the 1,200 square metre and five-metre-high H.O.M.E. Haus. The focus is on Persian wisdom and an icon from Iran’s thousands of years of architectural history: 1. To protect against extreme heat, the house is built into the ground. 2. The Badgir wind tower creates a completely natural, homely climate zone in the house with its vertical ventilation ducts. Teherani’s architectural practice combines proven low-tech methods with contemporary living, bringing tradition and modernity together under one roof. This is what creates the very special charm of this residential cathedral.

DallFlex system revolutionises the (master) bathroom

The special subtle charm of the H.O.M.E. Haus is mirrored by detailed technical solutions such as the drainage systems from the Arnsberg-based family company Dallmer. Founded in 1913 as an engraving workshop, it has developed into an inspiring architectural brand. Dallmer also combines tradition with the future and still has its forward-looking products manufactured in Arnsberg. One of these products is DallFlex, the innovative linear drainage system used in the master bathroom. Dallmer’s DallFlex system has succeeded for the first time in separating the shower channel from the drain body and introducing surface-guided linear drainage. This enables flexible installation options and practical benefits.

Lots of creative freedom

Interior designers and landlords can look forward to lots of creative freedom: there is the choice of placing the shower channel on the wall, close to the wall or centrally in the shower area. Different shower channels can also be built on one and the same drain body. The gutters, ranging from 80 to 200 centimetres in length, can be adapted to practically any size. The drain body, which is available for different installation heights, is also flexible. The range consists of standard, standard vertical and a flat plan variants. The drain body’s advantages include the sealing sleeve that can be clicked into place without tools, height-adjustable mounting feet and a movable ball joint. This ball joint lets fitters connect the wastewater pipe to the drain body without tension. The wrinkle-free, click-in sealing sleeve allows tilers to work the drain body cleanly and precisely into the required bonded waterproofing. Subsequent cleaning is also very easy for users: they simply need to remove the odour trap at the top and rinse it.

Shower channel with a special effect

DallFlex also allows you to choose between nine designs and five surface and colour variants. Hadi Teherani Architects selected the premium “CeraFloor Select Duo” finish made of solid stainless steel in the ultra-thin PVD-coated variant red gold for the H.O.M.E. Haus 2022 master bathroom. The colour tone blends in perfectly with the spacious project, which has a distinct focus towards closeness to nature and sustainability. “Contrasts, boundaries and transitions have a special effect on people: in nature and landscape, in the city, in architecture and in product design. The DallFlex system from Dallmer gives us several design options at once to create this special effect,” says Hadi Teherani.

“Our aim is to offer architects solutions that enable them to realise their ideas and designs without having to make any compromises. We are therefore all the more delighted that we were able to contribute to the design of the master bathroom as a Priority Partner of the H.O.M.E. Haus 2022,” says Yvonne Dallmer, Managing Director of Dallmer GmbH + Co KG.
